Analysis of a Proactive Trap Monster Control Strategy
The Argostars archetype is a proactive control deck centered on a unique synergy between Level 4 Warrior monsters and a suite of Continuous Trap Monsters. Its core mechanic, the Banishment Trigger Paradigm, requires banishing its own monsters to activate the powerful effects of its traps. This creates a resource loop that is resilient to common Graveyard disruption, allowing the deck to establish a layered board of non-destruction removal and negation.
The deck's engine starts by banishing a main deck "Argostars" Warrior, like Glorious Adra, to set up the backrow. This fulfills the condition for cards like Slayer Eteo and Home Stadium to activate their enhanced effects, creating a cycle of disruption and resource recovery from the banished zone.
Argostars Traps can Special Summon themselves as Level 4 Warrior monsters to provide disruption, such as bouncing a card to the hand. They can then return to the Spell & Trap Zone, ready to be used again and triggering the effects of the Field Spell, Home Stadium.
